Throttle body de-lip

When modding a Smart, things start getting really expensive so it's always nice when they are free.

This mod is basically trying to smooth out the air flow and to widen the bore into the throttle body - every little helps!

First off you need to remove the top intercooler pipe:

Remove the jubilee clips from the top pipe. There is one jubilee each end: one on the intercooler and the other at the throttle body.

Pull the pipe clear of the car.

Remove the gasket located on the throttle body as this is what you will be modifying.

Using a craft knife cut the outer lip off so the gasket is smooth all the way through.

Re-assemble the car ensuring the jubilee clips are done up firmly.
