To remove the rear boot panel, it is easier to first disconnect the number plate lights.

Push the lens across and pull down.

The insulated connection will just pull straight off; the bar connection will need you to press down the little catch in the middle of the connector.

Open the rear storage compartment and remove the six T25 torx screws shown.

With the panel now free, reach behind the panel and unclip the tailgate door handle using the 2 small securing tabs.

Now slide the panel down from the bottom of the tailgate.

It should now be free.
