The Roadster pods and speedo use 2 different style of LED.
Standard SMD's for the speedo, the rev counter and the switches.
The pods use sideLEDs, and 1 PLCC2 LED for the temperature redline, but a special wiring arrangement had to be adopted in order to have all LED's illuminated reliably.

As you can see, the effect is a very vivid and individual dashboard.
