This service measure is undertaken at the same time
as changing the oil itself.
First things first you need to make sure you have everything you need, that being;
Oil filter (Merc Number: A132 180 00 10)
Replacement oil (5w40 fully synthetic)
Oil filter wrench
Oil drain bowl
To start you need to drain all the oil from the car, we used the Pela 6000 oil extractor but the 451 can be drained conventually via sump plug.
Next you will need remove at filter using the wrench seen below.
While slowly unscrewing the filter anti-clockwise (shown below) place a drain bowl underneith to catch any oil (there will be about 500ml). Clean the
inside of the housing and the face before fitting the new filter.
It's now time to fit the new filter, rub a small amount of oil around the rubber seal of the new filter and screw back onto the car.
