There are several different types of front centre grilles that were brought out for the fortwo 450. If you are looking at buying a replacement one, then it is worth bearing in mind that there are some important differences depending on the car you have.

• fortwo 450 coupe - pre facelift without fog lights
  

These are available in both black or silver to match the car's tridion. The important thing to note here is that you will require a different grille if you ever decided to install fog lights.

• fortwo 450 coupe - pre facelift with fog lights

Again, these are available in both black or silver to match the car's tridion. The grille has a slightly different detail on the front as well as the holes for the fog lights.

• fortwo 450 coupe - facelift

With the change in panel design, smart simplified the design of the grille. These grilles will not fit older models but will fit all facelift style coupes and cabrios. To install foglights, the cover caps in the grille are simply removed avoiding the need to replace the whole grille. As for the older models, these are available in both black or silver.

• fortwo 450 cabrio

The cabrio has always incorporated the facelift style of panels and as such has the same grille as the above coupe. The following model has foglights installed.

• Crossblade

The grille for the crossblade is completely different. Only available in black, they will not fit any pre or post facelift fortwos.
