Accessing the tunnel, gear shift lever and ignition

If you need to access the remote key receiver or any parts of the gear shift and ignition, you will need to follow this guide.

Remove the gear knob by pulling it upwards firmly.

If you have auto, do not press the button on the side whilst doing this.

Remove the screw cover from beneath the handbrake. Be careful not to chew up the plastic. A thin, flat-blade screwdriver works well.

Use a Torx T15 bit to remove the screw underneath.

Reach underneath the cover and pull where indicated in order to release the two clips which secure it at the front.

Carefully lift off the cover to reveal the centre tunnel.
