| Fixing a slow actuator |
|
|
It is not uncommon for the clutch actuator to become lethargic in its operation.
Using your thumb gently pull the rubber seal from the end of the actuator. You may want to carefully use a thin screwdriver to lever the edge up a bit.
Take your spray grease/chain lube, and squirt into the actuator.
Now refit the rubber seal; again you may want to use a small screwdriver just to seat the seal over the lip of the actuator.
Now when changing gears, you should hear it is a lot smoother and quicker when engaging the gears. Should you still have an issue, you may need to buy a new actuator unit. |
