Ever seen Grand Designs? Well, we all start somewhere...
And where better than someone elses house!
First step simple cabinet removal.
Remove the top section of the unit, a sharp 'thump' upwards should provide sufficient force.
There are 2 nails either side and one nail poking out the back which is used as a locating pin.
Once the front 2 nails have been lifted, the top panel can be removed.
The 2 side panels are expertly glued to the wall with no more nails.
Yank violently to remove from the wall, note some plaster loss in inevitable.
Next, remove the stash of 'stolen from work' CD writers and store safely.
To remove the hinges, there are 4 philips head screws attaching the hinge to the side panels.
Remove any misplaced items of monetary value.
Deposit recovered coinage in storage facility.
To remove the top panel of the cupboard area, provide a solid vertical force on the underside of the panel, as before there are 4 main securing nails.
Remove the top section.
The shelf, requires no force, but you can hit it if so desired.
Lift out the shelf.
Grab hold of the remaining section, and yank it towards you.
The lower skirting board section should have separated away a bit, so jam a screwdriver down the back and lever out, it is held in with 1 nail at either end.
The 2 remaining side sections are held by a single centre piece secured by 4 nails.
Pull the centre section up with some vigour upwards to pull the nails out of the wood.
Finally, remove all sections of wood (store appropriately in the loft), stand back and admire your handy work.
