To calculate your mpg you need to know 2 things, how much fuel you've used and how far you went on it.
The best way to do this is to fill your fuel tank up to the top, drive as normal until your next fill, take a note of your mileage and fill the tank up the top again.
The amount of fuel filled should be roughly the same as that used to achieve the mileage.
To convert from litres to gallons divide by 4.546, then divide your mileage
by your gallons used to get your MPG
Alternatively if you don't want to think about it too much, download the FQ101 mpg spreadsheet, and use this to help keep records of your mpg.
